| Manual Cutting of Foam: 1.Use scissors to cut soft foam. You can cut curves or straight lines, but you may want to lightly draw your design on the foam with a permanent marker before starting to cut. 2.Cut the foam using dental floss. Place a ruler to align the floss with the position you want to cut. Hold the foam with one hand and pull the end of the dental floss towards you with the other hand. Using Power Tools: 1.Cut foam with a Electric Foam Cutting Saw. If you regularly cut large quantities of foam, consider buying a Electric Foam Cutting Saw. The blade runs vertically, so you can hold the foam block and move it against the blade for the desired cuts. 2.Heat Hot Knife Foam Cutters to cut foam. Insert the small Hot Knife cutters until the wire becomes hot. Avoid touching the wire. Push the foam over the blade for straight, smooth cuts. If you want to cut more intricate details such as waves, curves, or circles, consider using a Hot Wire Foam Cutter. |
